The basic exam pattern of CUET UG business studies consist of total 50 question out of which you need to answer 40 questions in 45 mins . Each correct answer will reward you 5 marks , 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer and 0 marks for every unattempted question .So your paper will be of total 200 marks and Computer based test will be conducted . In the examination MCQs question will be asked as per the syllabus prescribed by NTA given above .

The syllabus of CUET UG Business studies is divided into sections and unitwise as provided below , basically syllabus cover class-12 portion as per the NTA .

Principles and Functions of Management

UNIT I: NATURE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF MANAGEMENT

(i) Management – Concept, objectives, importance.
(ii) Nature of management; Management as Science, Art, Profession.
(iii) Levels of management – Top, middle supervisory (First level).
(iv) Management functions – Planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling.
(v) Coordination – Nature and importance.

UNIT II: PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT

(i) Principles of Management – Meaning, nature and significance.
(ii) Fayol’s principles of management.
(iii) Taylor’s Scientific Management – Principles and Techniques.

UNIT III: BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

(i) Business Environment – Meaning and importance.
(ii) Dimensions of Business Environment – Economic, Social, Technological, Political, and Legal.
(iii) Economic Environment in India; Impact of Government policy changes on business and industry, with special reference to the adoption of the policies of liberalization privatization, and globalization.

(iii) Types of Plans – Objectives, Strategy, Policy, Procedure, Method, Rule, Budget, Programme.

UNIT V: ORGANISING

(iv) Formal and informal organization.
(v) Delegation: Meaning elements and importance.
(vi) Decentralization: Meaning and importance.
(vii) Difference between delegation and decentralization.

(ii) Staffing as a part of Human Resources Management.
(iii) Steps in the staffing process.

(iii) The distinction between capital market and money market.
(iv) Stock Exchange – Meaning, functions, NSEI, OCTEI, Trading Procedure.

UNIT XI: MARKETING
